Have you ever drank a cold glass of ice water outside on a hot summer day and seen all the ice melt to make more water? That's what's happening to Earth! Some parts of the globe have huge blocks of ice called glaciers. As the earth warms up, the ice melts and becomes water. But where does this water go?
As the ice melts, the now-liquid water starts filling up the oceans. This is known as rising sea levels, and it is not a good thing. As the oceans get more full, the water starts creeping up onto land eroding, or breaking down, it down. Check out this picture of the ocean destroying a road:
Water is ssential to the survival of all humans. However, it is very powerful. Us humans need to recognize the power of water, and do everything to keep it from going out of control due to a warmer Earth!
